A daily journal app built to turn reflection into routine.

DPM Journal (branded RISE) is a personal growth app that opens every morning with a devotional thought and a scripture verse, then moves straight into the day's tasks and goals. The idea is simple: reflection comes first, planning comes second — so the habit that sticks is the one that actually changes how the day goes. The build covers the full loop a user touches: creating an account, signing in, seeing the morning home screen, planning tasks against goals in a calendar journal, and managing their profile, coach and subscription from settings.
Most journal and habit apps are really task managers with a nicer font. The moment they open on an empty task list, the reflective part of the app becomes decoration nobody reads twice. The problem here was ordering and restraint: the home screen has to earn the devotional's place at the top without turning it into another notification the user swipes past, and the task and goal system underneath still has to feel like a proper planner — due times, priority, a calendar to move through — not an afterthought bolted onto a quote-of-the-day widget.
